Hasselhoff!
I don't know if this is for real, but Hasselhoff!

If you can hang on until the end, it's the best part. :)

Happy U2-sday!
Can this afternoon go any slower?

U2. Tonight. :D

I don't know whether it's awesome or pathetic that U2 is one of the only constants in my life.

It may be corny, but I'll probably tear up tonight. And the ONE foundation honestly gives me chills.

Everybody's got something they get seriously, sincerely geeked about, right? Well, if not they don't know what they're missing.

:D

It's been a while. I'm really tired. And today is my parents' 35th wedding anniversary.

Here, watch the llama song: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/llama.php

LOLOL I'm watching a Bruce Springsteen concert on PBS. A few minutes ago they were doing closeups on his hips as he did an Elvis cover, then during "Take Me to the River" he just went into this televangelist rant: "This is a rock and roll baptism, and a rock and roll bar mitzvah!" A bit later, "I'm talking subjectification, and sexification, and loooooove education!"

Honestly, if the tickets weren't crazy expensive, and the audience filled with lascivious post-menopausal ladies, I might have to see Bruuuuuce live.

I do try to be positive...
Life just sucks sometimes though.

And I'm the kind of person who prefers to be left alone when life sucks. But that just doesn't seem to be happening lately.

Oh, and this site makes your LJ into a document, which is kinda cool.

I'm at the 'rents' house. Looking at all the books that I didn't bother moving to Ann Arbor... I actually have some good stuff. Well, relatively. I realize not everyone salivates over James Hilton first editions, or Childcraft encycs from the 1940s, or goofy Soviet-era handbooks. I'm sure when I picked up Аптека в лесу, I didn't realize how many people still believe that strongly in natural remedies. Like that Russian lady that told me I should give my dad lime juice for his cancer.

I started rereading Stevenson's The Master of Ballantrae (yeah, 'cause I don't have midterms this week or anything), and the scary thing is, I don't remember it at all. Sure, it's been probably 8 years or more since I read it, but still. RLS was one of the first authors I ever fell in love with, after I had graduated from Nancy Drew and Agatha Christies. I was probably the only 10 year old ever to read all of Virginibus Puerisque, and even I almost quit because he kept dissing vegetarians.
